Hello From Southern Georgia!!!

Quote for the Day:
“Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family
in another city.”
 ~George Burns

Forgive me for being silent for so long!  It's been 10 days since my last post.  But I really DO have a very good reason!!!

We've been on vacation in southern Georgia at our son and daughter-in-law's house.  There will be more in-depth posts about some of the past week's activities, but for now, I wanted to share this quilt store that we found in Hahira, Georgia... Sew Blessed 2 B Quilting, located at 201 S. Church Street.  It is an old gas station that has been converted into a store front.  :)  And if you know me, you know how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE old buildings!!!

This is me and Janie Blalock, one of the very kind ladies that works there...

This store is an "extension" of Sew Blessed, a fabric store that caters to heirloom sewists, especially those that make children's clothes.  We hit that store first, where I was able to find some 100% cotton red checked gingham fabric to make some more "Choo-choo Train" quilts for upcoming grandchildren!!!  ;)  Do you know how hard it is to find gingham check that is 100% cotton???  Most gingham fabric has polyester in it.  :(

From Sew Blessed, we got directions to the quilt store, and that is how we ended up at the Sew Blessed 2 B Quilting store...both owned by the same person.  :)  The quilt store was just opened in January of this year.  If you are ever in the area, I encourage you to look them up!!   And don't forget to take the time to enjoy the intriguing architecture of the old gas station!!!  :)
